I’m currently using the 3G shield (QUECTEL U20) on a raspberry pi 3. The Raspberry pi 3 is connected to a battery (powerbank). In my project, I need a strong autonomy and thus power consumption is critical. I can not find any information about the power consumption (or the current) used by the 3G shield but it is very important to know this information to size the battery in my project. I need to know it especially because I have the feeling that the 3G shield causes a strong battery drain.

Does anyone have informations about the power consumption of the 3G shield (or the current used by the 3G shield) ?

    Thanks in advance
